MONDAY MP3 GRAB: INFINITE LIVEZ – LUCKY U (MusSck REMIX)

Infinite Livez, real name Vinnie Tiefliz (see what he did there?) is a former art student, occasional comic book writer and video game designer with a fecund penchant for gadgetry and rap.

I first found out about him via the Bush Meat album released on Big Dada back in 2004, gloriously original it was and perhaps still is the most lucidly psychedelic UK rap album of all time; exploring themes of avariciousness in conceptual-art and bestiality through his adventures as a sidekick to a one-eyed teddy bear. Sounds weird? That’s because it is, and hilariously so.

But the dude has rhymes and style, reminding me of a rap Ian Drury. Having spent the last few years working with Swiss experimental jazz outfit Stade, Infinite appears to be off The Blockheads judging by what came through the inbox this weekend and on some urban Metal Machine Music shtick. Not to everyone’s tastes but well worth checking for anyone looking for life on the stranger side of the boom-bap.
