Russian born, London bred Andre Gurov (aka DJ Vadim) needs little introduction; DJ, producer, artist, A&R man and radio presenter. Vadim has produced singles and albums for the likes of Anti Pop Consortium, Mr Lif and The Bug with official remixes for bonafide superstars like Prince, The Cure and Erykah Badu. He has toured the globe countless times – providing support for musical luminaries Kraftwerk, Stevie Wonder and Public Enemy among others – lending his music a well travelled, distinctive sound.
Eastern influences sit congruously alongside broken beat, jazzy electronica, hip-hop and soul stylings. In short Vadim doesn’t make any specific genre of music, he makes DJ Vadim music.

In 2010 Vadim created the Organically Grown Sounds label, the first release is The Electric’s eponymous LP, featuring the vocal talents of Manchester songstress Sabiria Jade and Chicago based rapper Pugs Atomz. A refreshing, soulful listen The Electric makes for the perfect Spring soundtrack now the sun is finally shining, with several singles from the album making up the basis of Vadim’s Bonafide Beats mix.
