PUMA have cemented their relationship with Undefeated by extending their Undefeated (UNDFTD) Collection with PUMA. This time around the Cylde trainer goes under sewing machine.

Named after Clyde Frazier in 1973, the Clyde was the first signature basketball shoe and is a bonafide piece of streetwear history, rocked by DJs, b-boys, musicians and graffiti artists. The 2012 version features a snakeskin finish to the iconic PUMA stripe and will be available in three old-school colorways. The kind of steez you would expect Soul Train’s Don Cornelius (RIP) to have endorsed.

New Era have just announced the winner of their New Era Introducing competition. Tasked with the brief to re-imagine the standard 59FIFTY, entries for this competition turned the idea of a humble hat on its head. Notable contributions include a wooden fronted cap (on-trend folky, though you’d need some Ronseal to make it work in wet climes) and a cap riffing the image from The Smiths Meat is Murder LP. And of course the winners piece, an intricate and delicate piece that explores the story of the Queen of Sheba. A highly unique hat I think you’d agree. Congrats to the creator of the winning entry Lina Al-Amoudi, Lina receives kudos from fashionistas and a £10k bursary (whistles) to launch her creative career.

We mentioned British streetwear label House of Billiam a few months back and news arrives that they’ve launched their first capsule collection to coincide with the opening of their debut store at retail concept park Boxpark, Shoreditch, East London.

With a growing rep for tailored Varsity and MB Biker pieces, the new off the peg collection extends their vision for sophisticated streetwear with a British bent and features collaborations with similar minded labels including Danish label, Soulland. Lots of interesting stuff going down at Supremebeing this autumn. The new Fair Isle Invaders designs merge traditional Scandinavian styles, Space Invaders and street-wear finishing. Nice knits. Also the competitions and the images from the White Canvas Project are also worth a look.

After months of online rumours iconic streetwear brand Supreme will finally opened its first European store in London tomorrow (Thursday, 22nd September).

Based in Peters Street, Soho, the space will stock the entire Supreme range including skateboard and collaborative rareties, but don’t hold your breath for the classic box tee. More pictures after the jump, story courtesy of HUH.

Following on from the Supreme news, here’s something about a skating team/label a bit closer to home. Drawing on a coterie of skaters and design talent Palace Skateboards have been an emergent presence in London for the past few years. They’ve plucked some of the finest talent about and combined it with a visual brand that gets noticed – riffing the likes of the Coco Chanel and Versace logos’ and psychology diagrams has made for some excellent tees.  This video, commissioned by VICE and ASOS, profiles key man Lev Tanju who talks about the Palace philosophy, his love of VHS and future plans.
