BUG X BONAFIDE BEATS #04
After The Bamboos retro-tinged mix we have rising talent BUG’s “electronic-future-beats-club-type-shit”. An effort that is so cutting edge it could have been made in 2020, mp19 format delivered via kinesis. But it wasn’t, I got it from his FTP last week.
Seminal party starter Simon Says will be the track title that attracts most eyes but it’s the even more compellingly slutty than the original remix of Khia’s My Neck My Back by Shlohmo that leaves the ears ringing. While Rustie Is From Glasgow & Didn’t Get Back To Me is probably the closest – based on the title alone – to what we stereotypically polite Brits have to war on wax in the post EDM scene, although the track itself is somewhat innocuous.
